Saint Catherine of Siena, pray for us!

Prayers for the 2022-23 School Year

August 16, 2022

As we begin this year, we come together as a class, as a school, and as a sisterhood to pray for our upcoming school year. May the theme of our year bring us closer and stronger together.

Pray for our Freshmen

For new friendships: “What made you establish [woman] in so great a dignity? Certainly, the incalculable love by which you have looked on your creature in yourself!”—Saint Catherine of Siena, Dialogue 4,13

As you meet new and friends, may you see Jesus in everyone. May you remember that in every face is the face of God and every person is respected and love as you are for God.

Pray for our Sophomores

For love: “Everything comes from love. All is ordained for the salvation of man. God does nothing without this goal in mind.”—Saint Catherine of Siena

May you learn to love yourself as God loves you. May all your accomplishments this year reflect God’s love and lead you closer to heaven.

Pray for our Juniors

For Gifts of the Spirit: “All should be my minister in distributing the graces and gifts they are given.” CCC 1937

As Juniors, you have been given the tools for your faith. May you use the gifts you have been given to serve as leaders and upperclassmen. May your school year reflect your love of God through your words, actions, and achievements.

Pray for our Seniors

For strength of faith: “Proclaim the truth and do not be silent through fear.”—Saint Catherine of Siena

May your senior year be a beacon of everything you learned at St. Catherine of Siena. May our patroness guide you to be bold, standing up for your faith, and showing the world who you are. May your final year at St. Catherine of Siena give you the tools to set the world on fire and leave your mark on the world.

Pray for St. Catherine of Siena Academy

May we as sisters continue to come together through the example of our patroness. St. Catherine of Siena, be with us as we build new friendships, use our gifts, and grow in faith in love in God this school year. Amen.
